Faith, Trust, & a Little Pixie Dust

Well…it is almost the end of May and time is flying. The past few weeks have been crazy busy and full of excitement! In just over 24 hours, I’ll be giving a speech in front of 300+ people for a graduation ceremony. I’m kind of freaking out. But that is okay – because I can do it!! Public speaking is my biggest fear, but, the best way to conquer a fear is by doing it, over and over and over again…so here goes!

Another exciting thing that happening is my tattoo design. I’m going to visit my ex on Sunday to work on a sketch for my next tattoo. I want to cover a scar on my leg, so I’ll be getting a big piece on my thigh. I’m going to do a vintage map of Neverland, the silhouettes of Peter Pan and Tinker Bell, and the quote “All you need is a little faith, trust, and pixie dust”. I’m pretty excited about this and will post a picture of the sketch later this week!

IMG_4327A few other highlights for this week – Friday is my mom’s birthday, so my sister and I are treating to her with two nights at a bed & breakfast and a nice soak in a hot tub. She will enjoy having a few days away and to relax. However, before we send her off, we (as a family) are going to the March Against Monsanto rally here in Kalamazoo, MI.

Our family is fairly engaged in the food justice movement and we’re looking forward to marching with other community members on Saturday. This picture is showcasing my headband that will be a part of my fresh food fairy costume. Are you going to march? There are events happening all over the world – so get involved – and tell Monsanto (and other Big Food businesses) that you won’t support their profits since they refuse to support our health.
